Why should you become a PABA Member?
Make new business contacts
As a business owner, new business contacts are always important. You will have the chance to meet the area's newest entrepreneurs, as well as those that have been established in the area for years. You will get to know many of the other businesses located in Central Wisconsin.
Attend monthly membership functions
We schedule our membership meetings to meet everyone's schedule, moving between breakfast and dinner meetings. At these meetings, PABA brings you a featured speaker with information on issues that directly effect the business climate of today and tomorrow. PABA has also, on occasion, hosted a Tabletop Expo allowing you the opportunity to showcase your business to others in the community.
Enjoy our social functions
It's a great opportunity to network with your peers in a relaxed, stress-free atmosphere. Our most popular events are the PABA Golf Outing and Bowling Tournament...not your thing? Then join us for our Mixers, Holiday Dinner, or the Annual Dinner. It's always an enjoyable time.
Participate in community involvement, support, and promotion
Strengthening our area's economic base is PABA's goal every working day. Our Community Development and Marketing Committee works with the Village of Plover in the development of business recruitment and retention programs. Our website will ist your business as a member and have a hyperlink to your website.
Our periodic newsletter gives you timely information on what's happening at the village level, PABA activities, the calendar of events, and business articles that affect you, the business owner.
The Backers are the goodwill arm of PABA. The Backers meet monthly to visit businesses that are new, have relocated, or expanded in the Plover community.
Benefit from our association with The Wisconsin Chamber of Commerce Executives and share in our affiliations with the Village of Plover, the Portage County Business Council, and the Stevens Point Area Convention & Visitors Bureau. PABA has chosen Cellcom as its Preferred Wireless Provider, offering discounted programs for PABA members and providing a vital source of non-due revenues back to PABA. Plus, PABA makes quarterly contributions--giving back to its members and the community.
